Terms of Use

These terms apply to use of Camarillo Residents Directory. Accessing or using the reference means you accept them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

1. The Nature of This Reference

Camarillo Residents Directory is privately operated. It describes and links to public rolls, record indexes, and historical collections relevant to Camarillo, Ventura County, and California. It does not host government records and is not affiliated with the City of Camarillo, Ventura County, California agencies, a court, a library, or another records custodian.

2. Permitted and Prohibited Use

Use this reference only for lawful purposes. You may not use it or any linked result to:

  • Stalk, harass, intimidate, threaten, or harm any person
  • Locate someone protected by a restraining or protective order
  • Commit identity theft or fraud
  • Make FCRA-regulated decisions involving credit, employment, tenant, or insurance matters
  • Scrape, copy, or republish the site's content at scale
  • Interfere with the site's operation or security

3. No Consumer Reports

This site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. section 1681 and following. Neither the reference text nor a result from a linked tool is a consumer report. Nothing may be used to judge eligibility for credit, employment, housing, insurance, or another purpose regulated by the FCRA.

4. External Websites

County and state portals, library collections, archives, and sponsored search tools operate under their own terms and privacy rules. Camarillo Residents Directory does not control their content, availability, charges, or data practices.

5. No Warranties

The reference is supplied “as is” and “as available,” without warranties. No promise is made that a page, fee, office detail, portal, coverage date, or linked result is accurate, complete, current, or available at any particular time.

6. Liability Limits

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operators are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from use of this reference or an outside resource, including an action taken from a record discovered through it.

7. Indemnification

You agree to defend and hold the operators harmless from a claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, that results from your misuse of the reference or breach of these terms.

8. Copyright and Reuse

The original writing, design, logo, and layout are protected by copyright. Linking to a page and quoting a short, attributed excerpt is welcome. Republishing a full page or copying the collection at scale is not permitted.

9. Revisions

A revised version may be posted on this page. Continued use after the revision is posted means the updated terms are accepted.

10. Restricting Access

Access may be blocked or limited for a user who violates these terms or abuses the reference, at the operators’ discretion and without prior notice.

11. California Law

These terms are governed by California law without regard to conflict-of-law principles. The California Public Records Act, Government Code section 7920.000 and following, governs requests to California, Ventura County, and Camarillo custodians for existing public writings; it does not turn this private reference into a records office.

12. Severability

If a court finds one provision unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect.

13. Questions

Questions about these terms may be sent through the Contact page.
