Information You Submit
A name, phone number, or address entered into a search form is sent to the third-party provider that supplies the results. Camarillo Residents Directory does not keep a copy of those search terms on its own servers. If you send a message, the contact mailbox receives the contents needed to respond.
Routine Technical Logs
Hosting providers may record an IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps. Those logs are reviewed in aggregate for reliability and traffic patterns. Cookies or similar tools may support basic analytics or, where applicable, advertising measurement.
How the Data Is Used
The limited data supports site operation, error repair, traffic measurement, and page improvements. We do not sell visitor lists or build individual user profiles from the reference pages.
External Records and Search Links
The pages link to Ventura County portals, California agencies, libraries, archives, and third-party search tools. The receiving service’s privacy policy governs anything submitted there. Sponsored results are also supplied by an outside company, not by the public-record custodians named in the research.
Who May Process It
Hosting and technical service providers may process ordinary server logs. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the automatic data described above. Information is disclosed when valid legal process requires it, or when necessary to provide the requested service.
Security and Retention
The site uses an encrypted connection. Logs are retained only for the operational purposes described above. Because there are no user accounts, Camarillo Residents Directory does not maintain a site password or personal profile for a reader.
Children and Minors
The reference is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a minor has sent information, contact us so the limited message data can be reviewed and removed when appropriate.
California Privacy Choices
California’s Consumer Privacy Act and California Privacy Rights Act provide covered consumers with rights that can include knowing, correcting, deleting, opting out of sale or sharing, limiting sensitive-data use, and receiving equal treatment. Global Privacy Control is a recognized opt-out signal for covered businesses. Because this site keeps little direct data, a request usually means checking the contact mailbox and relevant logs. Use the Contact page to ask.
Public records held by California, Ventura County, or Camarillo offices are outside this site’s control. The California Public Records Act, Government Code section 7920.000 and following, governs access to existing public writings, not deletion from the custodian’s system. Requests to correct or limit a government record belong with the office that holds it. California’s DROP platform is a separate route for covered commercial data brokers.
Policy Updates
Changes will be posted on this page with a revised version. Continued use after an update indicates acceptance of the posted policy.
